Departing Passengers required to check in at least 3 hours before scheduled departure time.
Additional travel time to the airport should be considered.
Montego Bay, Jamaica, 08 January 2023/MBJ Media// Sangster International Airport (SIA), Jamaica’s
leading gateway to the world operated by MBJ Airports Limited, is urging departing passengers to check
in for their flight at the airport at least 3 hours prior to their scheduled departure time.
Due to the high volume of passengers expected for the month of January, all departing passengers are
required to check in no later than 3 hours prior to their scheduled departure time. Additional travel time
to the airport should be considered and for any eventualities on the roadways.
All industry partners; hotels, tour operators and destination management companies are required to
make transportation arrangements for passengers to arrive with additional time to enter the airport and
check in no less than 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. Failure to comply may result in flight
delays and a high possibility of passengers missing their flights.
Passengers are also strongly encouraged to check in online to ensure smooth procedures at the airport.
Passengers issued a mobile boarding pass by their airline and without checked bags, can proceed directly
to the security checkpoint.
To reduce congestion in the check-in area, only passengers and persons assisting passengers with special
needs are encouraged on the inside.
Arriving passengers are encouraged to complete Immigration and Customs forms online at
https://enterjamaica.com/ before arrival to reduce wait time.
We welcome the cooperation of our passengers and partners as we seek to enhance the customer
experience and improve service levels. These initiatives are a few ofseveral being undertaken to improve
the overall passenger experience at the Sangster International Airport during this busy season.
