And who better to lead the initiative than Mr. David Hall, co-founder and now Jamaican citizen (since 2009)?
You'll remember him as the CEO of Digicel for 5 years, now the largest Jamaican mobile operator with 2 million customers and revenues of US$500m per annum!
Mr. Hall guided Digicel to increase market share to 70% under his tenure and let the company's achievement achievement for "Number 1 for customer service in Jamaica for fourteen consecutive quarters!
Mr. Hall is ably supported by Carlos Moleon, also a shareholder and Jamaican citizen since 2009. Mr. Moleon moved from Spain and founded Calatel in 2000 which grew to 300 employees and revenues of US25m per annum.
He then sold the company to Avantiz in 2007 and founded a new construction company "VIP attractions construction" which has the contracts to build the Secrets Hotel and the Bahia Hotel extension.
I am truly excited about both ventures. I believe they will definitely improve the cultural experience and enhance the Jamaican tourist experience
