Jamaica Tourist Board wins gold at 2023 Davey Award for VisitJamaica.com

The Jamaica Tourist Board has won a gold award in the general tourism category at the 2023 Davey Awards for its website, VisitJamaica.com.

This achievement marks the second recognition for the website since its revamped debut over the summer.

Director of Tourism at the Jamaica Tourist Board, Donovan White expressed his satisfaction, saying “VisitJamaica.com is the cornerstone of our digital marketing efforts, so we are extremely pleased to have it earn yet another international honor this year.

Our website is often the initial resource people consult when planning their trip to Jamaica, so it is essential that it engages visitors, provides the information they are seeking straightforwardly, and conveys the essence of the island.”

The website's redesign, led by Simpleview, showcases new branding and imagery that align with its latest advertising campaign, “Come Back to the Vibe That Comes Alive in Jamaica.”

This campaign positions the island as the perfect destination for individuals to rediscover their best selves through experiences that are romantic, adventurous, laid-back, and more.

Additionally, the website secured a platinum award in the travel category of the 2023 dotCOMM Awards.

The Davey Awards recognize outstanding work from boutique creative agencies, in-house brand teams, small production companies, and independent creators in various categories such as Branded Content, Video, Design and print, Advertising and marketing, Mobile, Podcasts, Social, and Websites.

The awards are sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an exclusive body comprising top-tier professionals from renowned brand and media, interactive, advertising, and marketing firms, including Spotify, Majestyk, Big Spaceship, Nissan, Tinder, Conde Nast, Disney, Microsoft, GE Digital, JP Morgan, PGA Tour, Wired, and others.
