Kudos to former Digicel CEO David Hall, now a naturalised Jamaican, and Spanish founder of Calatel Carlos Moleon, for a fine innovation (both made Jamaica their home several years back - Carlos is married to Jamaican Amanda née Lopez). They have invested jointly $170 million in upmarket cultural lounges opening soon for travellers at the Norman Manley and Donald Sangster airports. Not only are they enhancing visitors' experience, but more important, they are creating 40 new jobs and employment opportunities for their subcontractors. What a fantastic example - let this be a year of vision and job creation!
